Kilmun Village Hall Summer Fair

Now the work begins:-
After a successful Summer Fair, enjoyed by all, more people have been introduced to the Orchard Plan. This provides the visual aid of different coloured flags to indicate the plum tree, apple trees, cob nuts and the gooseberry, jostaberry and blue berry bushes.
The children did a brilliant job of painting bird boxes, and filling the bug hotel, when they werent painting scallop shells or drawing bug pictures.
The Ardentinny Tooters provided a varied programme of recorder music - who knew there were so many different types and sizes and the range of music that they were able to play - wonderful.
Tables ,raising money for CHAS, Marys Meals,Te Renal Blood Unit, Blood cancer Research, Holy trinity and the Hall, offered a diverse assortment of attractive items.
The planting of the trees will begin on July 1st. All the apple trees have been 'gifted' to someone, but there are still some plum trees at £25 or £30 and cob nuts and bushes at £10. In addition, you will get a small hand-written slate sign, with the name of the person you have gifted the tree to.
