Kilmun Hall needs volunteers urgently. If you have time to help us at the Hall, we would be very grateful. Just contact any of the committee members of the who we are page.

Currently we are trying to eradicate dry rot in part of the hall, and one of the small rooms is unavailable

We have just relaunched our popular 50/50 club, to help provide funds for the hall. One annual share will cost £12, and a draw will be made each month. Half the funds will be available for the draw, whilst the other half will go towards the restoration of this beautifal Arts and Crafts building. If you are interested, please contact Russell Humphreys at russell39@gmail.com  or telephone 01369840345. The draw will be made at the end of the month, as people are joining every day.

50/50  club

At present we have two prizes, but as more people join, we will hopefully be able to have a third one.

Thelist of winners can be found on a following page.

Dry Rot at the Hall  We have a new page, which will keep supporters updated on the Dry Rot situation at the hall.

Younger Hall looking forward to 2018

The committee has been hearing from friends of the hall who would like to ensure hall’s future.Donations can also be made to Russell Humphreys our Treasurer. We are applying for funding and have quotes from dry rot specialists to address the halls needs.

While waiting for funding the life of the hall is very much on the go with clubs and special occasions regularly being booked in and enjoyed.

The Hobbies Club has always contributed to the funds of the hall and just now Helen Giles is willing to take orders for Thread Caddies. These items will solve the problem of where to put off all those cuts offs being wool, threads or paper. The cushion part holds pins within easy reach. One lady has found the caddy handy for her TV control. Helen will get your caddy ready for a donation to the hall. She will also be grateful for more material which will keep the sewing machine going on these. (For a picture of the Thread Caddies, please look at WHAT HAPPENS AT KILMUN HALL page.)

A lot of the hall friends like to do specific things to help and we are looking for a group to be called on for short times. Please call Helen to hear more.

Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting you at the hall.

Helen Giles
