Dry Rot at the Hall

As many of you will have read, and possibly seen the problems we are facing with the hall, We have decided to have a special page, whereby, we can update all our supporters as to what is happening.

The builder, which we engaged to do the work, and then disappeared, leaving part of the small meeting room temporarily unusable, has now gone into liquidation.

The committe has started the process of having an up to date survey of the dry rot situation, from a specialist firm.

The basic structure of the hall is safe to use, but you will appreciate that unless we take action now, the deterioration will increase.

Kilmun Hall is the largest hall in the Kilmun and Shores area, with the best facilities of any of the local halls. It is a grade C listed building, with lots of lovely arts and crafts features. For these reasons alone, it must be saved.
